…because I am moving to Swiftcurrent Reflections 2.0. Hopefully, everything will stay the same. http://billanderson.name will still take you to the right place, and I hope you wont even have to change your RSS feed, for those cool cats who use RSS readers, but if you don’t see any updates for a week or so, check back here and resubscribe.
Technical Mumbojumbo: Since January 2005 I have been using Blogger, the Google owned blogging tool. It’s easy and gets the job done, but it always had problems FTPing data over to my server. People who host their blog right on Blogger’s servers, like Meg, don’t have this issue.
My solution? Start running Wordpress. This software runs right on my server and has a lot more flexibility and options than Blogger. It’s more complicated to set up, but will hopefully be worth it in the end.
Hopefully, everything just doesn’t explode…

A good day!
2008: Year in Review
by Bill on Dec.31, 2008, under Uncategorized
Things I’m thankful for:
1. My beautiful wife.
2. The last year for an idiot president.
3. The last year you can smoke in bars in Oregon.
4. Meg and I still have jobs.
5. My family is in generally good health.
It was an exceptional year. One last toast to 2008!

In Tokyo
OK, time for some updates. A few weeks back I went to Asia for two weeks for work showing off our new, fancy wireless speaker technology. Flew to Seoul, then to Taipei, Osaka and finally to Tokyo. Crazy week! Photos.

Josh and me, hoping the Seahawks pull something out… They didn’t
Of course what do you want right after a two week trip and a long trans-pacific flight? To get in a car! Meg picked me up at the airport, and we drove up to Seattle to see a Seahawk game with Josh and Lora. Despite the wrong team winning, we had a good time. Meg had a great time actually… I don’t think she’s a true Seahawk fan… Photos.
My BMW motorcycle had some problems early this summer. The transition basically died. That’s a bit beyond my ability level. Luckily my uncle Steve is up to the task. He was up in the area for a meeting, so he spent the night and the next morning loaded up the bike for the trip back to Ashland. I can’t wait to ride it again. Meg keeps muttering something about Craigslist…

Meg, Jim and Joan on a nice walk in sunny Gabriel Park
As Meg and I are heading to Montana for Christmas and Cait and Liz are off to New Jersey, Jim and Joan came up to Portland for a pre-Christmas celebration. While Saturday was a normal day, Sunday was a bit different. We woke up a snow free world, but by the time it got dark, we had about 5 inches of snow on the ground. Snow day! Photos. It even looks like it snowed way down South in Sherwood, too.
Finally…

Enjoying being photographed for the 5,276 time in an hour
It has been a long time from my last post. That’s because I wanted my next post to say this: our wedding pictures are up!
Enjoy!

Sorry for the slow updates everyone! My parents called tonight and told me to get my butt in gear, so here you go…
For those of you who didn’t know, Meg and I are officially married! We had a great wedding and so happy that so many of you could show up. Also, we are back from the honeymoon in Thailand which was quite the trip. For now, I’ll let the pictures do the talking. More to follow.
All my pictures are all here.
Meg’s pre-wedding pictures (including the on-the-water rafting shots) are here.
